Native Southeast sedge that takes both sun and part shade, a rare flexibility in the sedge world. Soft green clumps with airy flower spikes in spring. Drought-tolerant once established. A workhorse for filling gaps in mixed borders or edging a path. Fantastic in mass plantings as a lawn replacement.
Important host plant for a variety of Georgia butterflies and moths - flower spikes loved by seed-eating birds.
